The cost of design varies by the size of the project
and the research necessary to fulfill your needs.
Whether you want to extend an existing garden or create a new one,
we work hard to provide full satisfaction.

Nutrients in the soil are important for growing and maintaining
a beautiful, healthy yard. We will test your soil for levels of
nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus.
• Lawn Nitrogen – produces dark green foliage, stimulates
vegetable growth and a thick green lawn
• Phosphorus – benefits flowers and promotes healthy
seed germination
• Potassium – helps in the formation of carbohydrates
in plants which results in healthy stalks and disease resistant
growth
• Ammonium phosphate – best used as a pre-plant soil
amendment for new lawns and flower and vegetable beds
• Sulfate of ammonia – nitrogen fertilizer used for
leafy vegetable crops, grapes, spring lawns, trees and shrubs
• Ammonium nitrate – used for winter lawns
• Balanced fertilizers –general fertilizing or large
scale fertilizing
• Complete fertilizers - these have the necessary nitrogen,
potassium and phosphorus as well as a few other nutrients for lawns,
flowers, vegetables, shrubs and trees
• Time or slow release fertilizers – use these infrequently
to deliver nutrients evenly over a long period of time
Any plant or grass that is growing where it is not wanted is a weed.
There are 2 types of weed killers (herbicides), selective and nonselective.
Selective herbicides will kill the weeds listed
on the label and will be harmless to other plants.
Nonselective herbicides will severely hurt or kill
other plants as well as the unwanted weeds.
Bermuda, Crabgrass
Dandelion,
Bur Clover,
Dallis Grass Mallow,
Purslane,
Spurge
The trees and plants that we have listed have evolved to accept
the extreme heat, wind, drought and poor soil of the Vegas Valley.

• Improper location -
The improper location of a plant can cause burned leaves
and discolored or cracked bark
To prevent this from occurring, learn the needs and
tolerances of your plants
If you have a plant that is improperly located, move
or replace it with something better suited to that area
• Improper watering -
Improper watering habits can cause wilting, scorched
or burned leaves and new leaves with a yellow coloring
Water your plants based on the individual plant needs
Contact the Southern Nevada Water Authority for a watering
guide
• Improper fertilization -
Over-fertilizing can cause blackened or scorched leaves
and excessive leaf dropping
Under-fertilization can cause yellow coloring of the
plant, small stunted leaves on the tips of branches and little or
no
yield of fruit or vegetables
This problem can be solved by having the right fertilizer
at the right time of the year and following the instructions on
the
package
